Have been going to this place for over 20 years. Just starting using the store in Indian hill, same great service as the Berwyn store just smaller but still great chocolate.

My Aunt took me there to buy some Easter candy for my young son back in the 70's been going there ever since. You walk in a become that kid in the candy shop where you say I'll take one of everything you have. The staff is always helpful and pleasant.

I've been coming to Old Fashioned Candies since I was a little girl. It's never wavered on quality or friendliness of the incredibly hardworking owners. I'm so grateful that in an ever changing world (not for the better), these amazing ladies have kept up this wonderful candy shop full of memories for so many. They're just fantastic all around!

THIS is the place to go for not only childhood memories and the best candy but also to meet some of the nicest people in the world. Paula, Lynn, Sandra and Donna make you feel like you are part of their family. The minute you walk in, you are greeted by any one of them and are transported back to a time when you could get candy for a penny or walk around with waxed lips. A time of candy cigarettes and flying saucers made out of wafers. Where you could drink a sugar liquid out of a wax bottle or eat an ice cream cone made with marshmallow. So many memories to choose from. Being a vegan, HOWEVER, most of those tasty memories are no longer available to me. BUT (and this is the best part!) the wonderful people at Old Fashioned Candies can make their homemade chocolates VEGAN for you! From Rocky Road to bananas, pineapples, peaches, oranges, strawberries and ORANGE PEELS, they will dip all of these items in vegan chocolate. If you never experienced nirvana before, wait until you taste these delicious chocolate treats! I highly recommend this place for young and old alike. The people who work there and the candy will make you feel like a kid again!

Came here on Friday only to learn that I didn't have my wallet and only a bunch of coins covered in coagulated soda. You ever just need chocolate? If so, you'll understand why I asked the cashier if I could use their bathroom to clean the slime off my change. A woman in back (the owner?) overheard and said, "Cup holder change? Give it here." I showed her how gross it was and insisted I would wash it, but she wasn't having it and made my $3.19 all sparkly again. On top of this, doofus here chose a $2.99 chocolate covered cheesecake slice that came to $3.46 with tax (did NOT mean to do that) which they gave me of course. It was a small act, but the whole experience kind of restored my faith in humanity.

I was in the area and needed my fix of chocolate candy. They make the chocolate on site and offer some hard to find candy. Give this place a try you will not be disappointed!

For someone that loves chocolate this place is almost heaven. Their chocolate creams are outstanding- both milk and dark chocolate. Their prices are reasonable, especially comparing them to the National brand names. The women that work there took the time to show me how to "read" the swirls on the creams so you don't have to stick your finger into the candy to insure that you pick what you want. I am now a "regular" and purchase a pound box for myself every couple of weeks.

This is THE place to get chocolate covered strawberries! The chocolate and the strawberries always are delicious. The ripeness and flavor of the strawberries always outstanding! The best part is that they all must be eaten within one day of purchase. A wonderful excuse to gobble them up!!!!

Terrific hand-dipped chocolates! You can buy by the piece so you can create your own mix.* They have hundreds of antique chocolate molds they use - holidays are amazing with a huge selection at Christmas & Easter. Dozens of hobby and occupation-themed items make wonderful gifts. You can have items personalized, too! *Hint: They sell small bags of "seconds", chocolates that don't look perfect at a markdown. They taste PERFECT . (don't ask me how I know...)

Often I come here to pick up some chocolate covered strawberries and also dark chocolate treats. They do not have parking but there is street parking right in front and it is free. They offer their own chocolate as well as others. You can order ahead for special occasions or just pickup at any time like I do, some treats. The girl at the register was not too friendly but the lady that has been there for some time she is. I really like their chocolate and I will keep coming back. One time I brought some bananas and they covered them for me so feel free to ask if they can do it and they probably will. I've tried different things and I've enjoyed all.
